Free review and optional performance advertising

Two ways FundRiseMe can help your fundraiser reach more people

Every eligible fundraiser can be considered for free platform-funded promotion. If a campaign is not selected, the organizer may separately allow performance advertising with no upfront advertising invoice and a 12% success fee on donations completed while that mode is active.

1. Free FundRiseMe promotion review

Submitted campaigns may be considered for platform-funded offsite promotion. If selected, FundRiseMe may use its own advertising budget and the organizer pays a 0% promotion fee. Selection is limited, discretionary, and never guaranteed.

How campaigns may be selected

Review may consider policy compliance, organizer and beneficiary verification, clarity and completeness, urgency, audience relevance, category, creative suitability, available advertising budget, geographic eligibility, expected performance, and whether the fundraiser can be represented accurately in advertising. Not being selected does not mean a campaign is untrustworthy.

2. Optional performance advertising

The organizer may allow performance advertising as a fallback if the campaign is not selected for free promotion. There is no upfront advertising invoice. A 12% success fee is recorded only on completed donations received while performance promotion is active.

Why the 12% success fee exists

FundRiseMe may spend substantial amounts on social, search, video, display, and partner advertising before knowing whether those placements will generate donations. The platform may spend more than it recovers. The success fee shares that advertising risk and lets the organizer access promotion without paying an ad bill in advance.

Where a fundraiser may appear

Eligible ads may be placed through social, search, video, display, and selected advertising or publishing partners. Placement, audience, duration, creative format, and budget are determined by FundRiseMe and available advertising systems.

What FundRiseMe may use

Promotion may use the fundraiser title, approved photographs, public story excerpts, category, goal, progress, organizer-approved updates, and campaign link. The organizer must have the right and permission to use all submitted content.

How accounting works

The promotion fee is not added to the donor’s payment. It is recorded against the fundraiser and reduces the organizer’s expected net payout. Public totals continue to show gross verified donations. Donations completed before performance promotion starts, after it ends, or during free platform-funded promotion do not receive the 12% promotion fee.

No guaranteed result

Neither free nor performance promotion guarantees ad delivery, impressions, clicks, donations, a specific amount raised, recovery of advertising costs, or completion of the fundraising goal. Results depend on budget, audience availability, platform rules, campaign content, geography, timing, competition, and performance.

Pausing or ending promotion

FundRiseMe may pause, limit, change, or stop promotion because of budget, poor ad performance, policy concerns, verification needs, reports, campaign changes, closure, refunds, geographic restrictions, or third-party platform availability. Organizers can turn the performance fallback off from Manage Campaign.

Privacy and advertising technology

Promotion may use campaign-specific links, referral parameters, cookies, pixels, or similar measurement tools where permitted. These tools must follow the Cookie Policy, Privacy Notice, consent choices, and applicable law.
